The Committee on Judicial Policy declared the bill to amend the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of Mountainous Settlements in Ukraine" (re the change of height location of the settlement) as corresponding to the Constitution of Ukraine

The bill (Reg.No.10545) suggests determining at legislative level that the status of mountainous settlements is given to the settlements if they are located at the height of 380 meters above the sea level. The realization of the legislative initiative will allow village Nyzhniy Strutyn of Ivano-Frankivsk region aquire the status of mountanious settlement.

The attention was paid to the necessity of supplementing the bill with the report from the Cabinet of Ministers concerning financial and economic grounds for the legislative initiative as, should it be implemented, will require additional funding from the State Budget.
